Because nearly 40% of the Speed Unlimited ET Series events were lost to the shutdown resulting in financial loss for both the track and for supporting sponsors, the following changes have been made to the Speed Unlimited ET Series program:

  • • All weekly and special event purses and entry fees will remain unchanged.

    • The Speed Unlimited ET Series Championship points fund will now be:
Top $1,500 to win, $500 runner up
Mod $750 to win, $250 runner up

    • Jr Dragster will remain unchanged at $500 to win, $200 runner up, $100 for 3rd, and $50 each for 4th & 5th place finishers. This is due to Ron Hubble continuing his sponsorship at 100% this year. A special thanks to Ron for his long-term support of the Jr. Dragster program at MDIR.

    • All other Speed Unlimited ET Series Championship awards will remain unchanged including championship trophies and plaques, gold cards, awards presented at annual awards banquet, reserved parking spots, etc.

    • The Rick’s Jewelers Ring for the Queen program will be suspended for 2020 but has committed to the program returning in 2021

    • The April’s Pool and Spa program will be suspended for 2020 but has committed to the program returning in 2021. However, the 10% racer discount will still be honored throughout 2020 and beyond.
