MECHANICSVILLE, MARYLAND (September 30th, 2021) – The Ford Fever Classic presented by the Mid-Atlantic Ford Dealers will have a tribute for the late great Ford Legend and MDIR Hall of Famer Dick Estevez. The Estevez family will be bringing memorabilia to honor the racing career of Dick Estevez along with the iconic 1965 Ford Falcon named Daddy Warbucks. There will also be time to gather and reflect on what Dick Estevez meant to MDIR and to Ford racers everywhere.

Dick Estevez and the Estevez family have assisted in the rise of MDIR throughout the years and a portion of his contributions are hiding in plain sight. Unknown to many, Dick played a major role in erecting all the steel work for many of the structures at MDIR including the current scoreboards, bleachers, multiple buildings on the property, and even the tower! Dick’s racing career began in 1959 and continued for over 50 racing anything from altered to Super Stocks and even racing in Pro Stock. While he is more recently remembered for piloting the Daddy Warbucks, his racing resume was an extensive one. Dick passed away December 10th, 2020, and is still missed to this day.

Be sure to be at MDIR for the Ford Fever Classic presented by the Mid-Atlantic Ford Dealers for the tribute for the legendary Dick Estevez.
